On 17th October 2023, the Industrial Association of Sri Lanka (IASL) hosted a critical presentation on the existing and proposed changes to the Employment Act. This event, held in the Chamber Board Room, was led by Mr. Vajira Ellepola, the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Employer’s Federation of Ceylon. Mr. Ellepola provided a comprehensive overview of the current provisions of the Employment Act and detailed the proposed amendments, emphasizing their significance for both employers and employees.
